Only 2 weeks until AIGA Asheville Hosts 2nd Annual Design Weekend - “The Power of Design”

Published 7 months ago • 1 min read

We're rapidly approaching showtime on the premier regional event for creative professionals of the year! We're proud to be co-organizers and sponsors of this year's event.

AIGA Asheville's annual design weekend returns November 3rd-5th. This year's theme is "The Power of Design".

Design has the power to shape the world. It solves problems, tells stories, and evokes emotions. Design is more than aesthetics. It’s a means to educate, to inspire, and to communicate what we believe in. Design has the extraordinary ability to influence perceptions, challenge possibilities, and make a lasting impact on the future.

“We are excited to bring the power of design to Asheville. This is our second annual event and we expect it to be even more impactful.", says AIGA Asheville President, Alyssa Phillips. She is hosting the event alongside John Hornsby, AIGA Asheville Vice-President, and the AIGA Asheville team. John continues "We have organized a more diverse group of creatives this year including architects, fashion designers, printmakers, as well as graphic designers from different backgrounds. We want to celebrate and recognize the collective influence of design across multiple creative platforms.”
