Reflection on 2023Reflecting on the past year, I see accomplishments in both successes and challenges. Business is an experiment, and life encompasses learning, experiencing, and embracing losses, help, and letting go. Here's my reflection: John elected President of AIGA AshevilleFeeling grateful for this community and looking forward to serving as President of our chapter this year. The local creative community has carried me through many ups and downs over the past decade and I'm honored to be able to help foster that spirit further with a new board, and a fresh year. AIGA | the professional association for design has truly been life-changing on a personal level and career-building on a professional one. 5 years ago I was one of many who helped launch and steer this chapter. This year feels like a milestone as I'll be the last AIGA Asheville founding board member who has continuously served since our founding. I'm excited to see us continue to evolve and grow with new talent and perspectives. My goal is for everyone to feel empowered to join us in designing our best year yet and to build bridges between our regional and cultural creative communities in 2024. About AIGA Asheville AIGA Asheville is part of the largest professional association for design, dedicated to advancing the value and impact of design, both locally and globally. With a mission to inspire and support creatives, the chapter is a beacon for the design community in Asheville, offering a platform for professional development, networking, and advocacy.
